About the Speaker: Sandra Peebles

Sandra Peebles is a highly accomplished bilingual TV and radio journalist and the founder of Peebles Communications, a boutique firm specializing in media and communication skills training. Currently, she hosts "Las Mañanas de America Radio con Sandra Peebles" during morning drive time on 1260 AM.

With decades of experience in television news, both in English and Spanish, Sandra is recognized for her authentic and natural on-air presence. She is a familiar face in the South Florida market, having served as a reporter and anchor for Univision 23 and NBC 6.

Throughout her distinguished career, Sandra has garnered 14 Emmy Awards across a wide range of categories, including Societal Concerns, Politics, Features, News Anchor Talent, and Public Affairs Reporting. She began her journey as a video journalist at Dynamic Cablevision and also spent two years as the weather anchor for Telemundo 51.

Beyond her professional achievements, Sandra is deeply committed to her community. She is a passionate supporter of Amigos for Kids and has been actively involved with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training program since 2002, completing five half marathons and one full marathon to raise crucial funds and awareness for cancer research.

Sandra is also dedicated to the effort of finding a cause and cure for autism and is a regular presenter at Autism Speaks events. Furthermore, she is a founding board member of Kakes 4 Kids, an organization that brings joy to children in foster care by celebrating their birthdays and reinforcing the message that their lives truly matter.
